A beautiful poem from a beautiful volunteer, thank you Sue for sharing this with us.

Depression

Big black clouds press down on me

Colour in the world I cannot see

All is grey within my life

Nothing left but sadness and strife

Enthusiasm it has left

Of energy I am bereft

Each long day is a terrible fight

Just to get through from morning to night

Welcome sleep

Now I cannot weep

You will be over far too soon

Once again I must face the gloom

When will this ever end

When will I be on the mend

When will I smile again

When will I escape this pain

Try as I might I find it hard to fight

The way I feel just can’t be right

Somebody please – show me the light
