The auction for Chris Evans' final ever Dine & Disco, featuring the legendary Rod Stewart performing in Chris’ own back garden, has raised a massive amount of money for charity.
Bidding for the event, which takes place in June, went live on 30th April, and closed as the Chris Evans Breakfast Show with cinch finished at 10am.
As well as getting to see the music icon in an intimate setting, the lucky attendees will get to stay in a hotel in Marlow, and have a delicious Michelin-starred BBQ with food cooked by Tom Kerridge, Atul Kochhar and Jose Pizaro.
There were 35 pairs of tickets up for auction this morning, with the 36th, and very final, pair going to one entrant who donated on the website. It was possible to donate as little as £10 to be in with a chance.
The total raised by this morning’s auction was in the region of £1.7 million! Be sure to listen to The Chris Evans Breakfast Show with cinch on Virgin Radio tomorrow morning to hear more.
All money raised goes to the CarFest Charities, which include Children in Need, The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, My Black Dog, Rainbow Trust, Starlight, Teenage Cancer Trust, and Young Epilepsy.
