The My Black Dog Trek with Ambassador Neil Read

From  to Beachy Head to Clifton Suspension Bridge in 5 days, Ambassador Neil Read treks the My Black Dog walk.

This is his story:

I have Clinical Depression and Anxiety disorder, which has nearly taken my life. I reached out to My Black Dog on the last hope of being saved. The person on the other side told me that they suffered too and that I wasn’t alone. 2 hours later I felt revived and listened to. The knowledge that I wasn’t alone, that someone was there for me changed me for good. On the back of that I contacted My Black Dog to thank them for what they did for me and my family. I then became an Ambassador and volunteer for them.

On that day My Black Dog saved my life, gave me hope and gave my family their father and husband back. The money raised from this trek will go towards keeping My Black Dog running and saving lives. We are all volunteers offering peer to peer support to those who need it. You are never alone, if you need to speak to someone, speak to someone who gets it!!

Thank you, Stay Strong, Stay Safe and always remember you are never alone.

If you would like to support Neil, we are looking for:

  • PR & raising awareness
